Spring is slowly but surely approaching and with all the spring flowers, our event season is sprouting into bloom too.
On 09 February, we celebrated together with all of you around the globe, the 18th edition of the Safer Internet Day. In honour of this occasion, our CO:RE work package leaders Veronica Donoso (Educational stakeholders; European Schoolnet), Brian O’Neill (Policy stakeholders; TU Dublin) and Sonia Livingstone (Theories; LSE) got together with project coordinator Uwe Hasebrink (Management and Communication, HBI) and emphasised the importance of stakeholder contributions to the CO:RE project. Watch the clip here and learn how to get involved in 2021. If you want to become an official supporter of Safer Internet Day, visit the SID website, join in and support the campaign.
In context of SID, our colleagues Sonia Livingstone and Mariya Stoilova published an inspiring proposal for updating the 4Cs of online risk. Please, give it a read, and share your comments and feedback!
Online risks for children and young people are also the subject matter on Wednesday, 10 March, from 16-17.30 CET. Sonia Livingstone and Mariya Stoilova (LSE) are delighted to discuss the topic with renowned experts, such as Julia Davidson, Professor of Criminology and Director of the Institute of Connected Communities (UK), Stephan Dreyer, Senior Researcher in Media Governance and Media Law at Leibniz Institute for Media Studies | Hans-Bredow-Institut (DE), Elisabeth Staksrud, Professor at the Department of Media and Communication at University of Oslo and CO:RE consortium member (NO) and Giuseppe Veltri, Full Professor of Research Methodology and Cognitive Sociology at the Department of Sociology and Social Research at University of Trento (IT).
